About us
- Fusion Energy
to the Future Generations -
Fusion energy is attracting attention as a next-generation energy source that does not emit greenhouse gases. However, the Deuterium-Tritium (D-T) reaction, which is currently the mainstream in the fusion industry, has challenges such as generating large amounts of low-level radioactive waste and causing reactor material degradation.
LINEA Innovations is working on developing an innovative fusion reactor based on a hydrogen-boron (p-11B) reaction, which is designed to avoid these challenges. This reaction generates virtually no radioactive waste, resulting in superior safety and public acceptance.
At LINEA Innovations, we are advancing our research and development with the aim of realizing a truly safer and more sustainable energy future.
Technology
- Our Fusion Energy Goal
-
Our approach to realizing next-generation fusion energy is centered on “non-thermal” fusion, driven by high-energy beams. Our proprietary fusion reactor design, which integrates FRC (Field-Reversed Configuration) and magnetic mirror technologies, is engineered to achieve the proton-boron (p-11B) reaction with high-density plasma target and high-energy beam particles. We are pursuing the realization of this “dream energy” – an energy source that is neutron-free, tritium-free and produces virtually no radioactive waste, while being fueled by abundant, sustainable resources. Departing from conventional fusion paradigms, we are developing a simpler and more economical power generation system, designed to power a sustainable future.
