LINEA Innovations Signs Technical Advisory Agreement with TAE Technologies

LINEA Innovations, Inc. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Yuta Nojiri; hereinafter “LINEA”) announces that it hasentered into a Technical Advisory Agreement with TAE Technologies, Inc. (hereinafter “TAE”), a leading fusion energy company in the United States. Under this agreement, the LINEA will leverage TAE’s expertise to further advance its research and development of an advanced-fuel fusion reactor.

This agreement follows the Memorandum of Understanding for Research and Development Exchange (MOU) concluded in May 2024. Its purpose is to further accelerate the research and development of both parties through mutual collaboration that leverages their respective strengths.

About the Advisor

Dr. Hiroshi Gota (VP, Corporate Technical Initiatives and Strategic Collaborations / Science Fellow) of TAE Technologies has been appointed as the technical advisor under this agreement. With Dr. Gota’s participation, LINEA will draw on world-class expertise in FRC plasma research to further accelerate its fusion reactor technology development.

About Dr. Gota

After earning his Ph.D. in physics from Nihon University, which has close ties to LINEA’s scientific and technical team, Dr. Gota conducted research at the University of Washington in Seattle before joining TAE Technologies in 2007. He has devoted nearly two decades to fusion development using FRC plasma, leading the development and operation of TAE’s flagship devices, Norman (C-2W) and Norm. He has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed papers and possesses deep expertise in FRC plasma physics and fusion energy development.

 

LINEA will continue to deepen its collaboration with TAE, combining TAE’s world-leading FRC technology with its own proprietary technologies to accelerate research and development toward the practical realization of an advanced-fuel fusion reactor.
